The main goal of the Nursery School is to provide a developmentally appropriate program for young children that encourages and respects their individuality. We respect and believe in each child as a unique individual with the ability to learn about themselves, their classmates, and the world around them through active learning. We continue to feel it is very important to help foster the development of a young child’s creative thinking skills by providing them with meaningful opportunities using play to experiment, explore, question, and discover. During the course of the year we work hard at stimulating a child’s natural interest in and enjoyment of learning. We want them to be creative, independent thinkers. The staff is committed to develop a relationship where each child feels encouraged, respected, nurtured, and valued while also carefully assess their social, emotional, and developmental needs.

Our pre-k 4 year old program has implemented the pre-k Fundation’s activity program to our curriculum. The Fundation’s pre-k program was developed to support school districts who now already use Fundations in their kindergarten program. The activities will help the children get ready for kindergarten and will give them a pre-dose of better sounds and writing skills that will be mastered in Fundation’s level k.
